My Approach
Decades down the road, the family photos that will mean the most to you
won’t be the ones where everyone is perfect and looking into the camera.
It’ll be the ones that tell of all the love that was there,
that show how tenderly your bigger children loved on your baby,
how much fun they had with Dad,
how you were the center of their world,
how magical you made their home,
and how beauty was always there, even within the chaos and imperfection.
Before I meet my clients, I try to get to know them, what makes their family and journey unique and what is most important to them about this stage in family life. This allows me, during our session together, to create a space where everyone can unfold and be authentically themselves. My goal is not to direct a perfectly executed session or impose a vision on a family, but to cultivate time and space where my families can be truly present to each other and authentically live the magic of this moment in their story, rather than performing for the camera. Perfection (and perfectly behaved children) is not a requirement for beautiful, authentic family photos. What is required is your presence with the people you love most.
