Langley Family Photographer | January In-Home Newborn Photography Session | Hidden Lives Photography
During these slow winter months, I find myself taking time to catch up on the back-end of my business, such as website updating and blogging. And, given that this little one is now a year old (really, how does time go by so quickly?!), I figured it’s as good a time as any to feature this Langley in-home newborn family session that I loved so much.
I will share just two things that stood out to me about the morning with this wonderful family, the first being the openness these two parents had towards their children and the joy they found in it. Yes, four children under four is overwhelming, no denial there. But to embrace it with the joy and open hands the way these two have is something truly beautiful and inspiring to behold.
The second thing I want to point out, as I have elsewhere, is that you don’t need to clean and prep your entire home when you are just weeks postpartum in order to have beautiful in-home family photos. You don’t even need a large home! If you do, great, and if you have the means and energy to clean and style your whole home, that’s amazing and I’m here for it. But it’s not a prerequisite for beautiful in-home newborn photos. This family lives in a standard townhome and we photographed everything in their living room. I really only need one room with one good window for light to have the technical means for beautiful photos; the rest of the equation is supplied by the joy and presence a family brings, which this family brought in abundance. You can see for yourself in the highlights below.
