I met Sarah and Luke at the Marine Building in downtown Vancouver at the end of February. They wanted something vintage incorporated into their date-style engagement photo session, and I was here for it! Our original plan was to explore the lobby of the beautiful Marine Building, grab a coffee nearby, and head over to Coal Harbour Seaside Park.

Meghan and I first connected about a year ago as she was starting to look for a wedding photographer. A Catholic wedding vendor herself, she was searching for a photographer that shared her Catholic faith and could capture the full meaning within her wedding day as well as someone who would capture the day naturally and candidly as it unfolds.

A documentary-style engagement session is a wonderful way to capture this singular moment in your relationship before marriage. Documenting the two of you on an actual date helps you remember what this time in your love story was like — filled with adventure, romance, coffees, and exploring new places, with the palpable anticipation of the upcoming moment when you definitively join your lives together.
