A documentary-style engagement session is a wonderful way to capture this singular moment in your relationship before marriage. Documenting the two of you on an actual date helps you remember what this time in your love story was like — filled with adventure, romance, coffees, and exploring new places, with the palpable anticipation of the upcoming moment when you definitively join your lives together. Practically, it’s also a low pressure, natural way of being before the camera and lends itself to truthfully documenting who the two of you truly are.

Megan and Chris were absolutely lovely. They were so honest and vulnerable, authentic and sweet, and came fully themselves, which made for beautiful images and a truly beautiful experience together. We wandered around District 1881 in Downtown Chilliwack, and dodged the rain at Smoking Gun Coffee Roasters. Their love was infectious; the staff at Hugo’s Mexican Kitchen even came out and gave them heart-shaped churros! Never has being a third wheel been so fun for me.

I can’t wait to celebrate and document their wedding next summer! Here are some of my favorite moments from our time together.
